FAQs

Are Pembroke corgis hard to train?

They are easy to train and very eager to please! They love attention and thrive with their people. It’s best to expose them early to your lifestyle: traveling, young kids, etc. They adapt well, but the more you expose them to at a young age, the better equipped they are.

What other animals do corgis do well with?

Corgis are friendly dogs and do great with other dogs, cats, and even livestock like cattle and horses.

Are corgis prone to DM?

The corgi is among the breeds most frequently diagnosed with DM; however, we test here at Tennessee Pembroke Welsh Corgis so none of our pups are at risk for DM, EIC, or VWD.

What months do corgis shed the most?

They are a seasonal shedder and shed most twice per year with weather changes. The best way to manage shedding is using a Furminator tool. I recommend using it 3x a week to control shedding.
